My favorite extracurricular activity is basketball. I started playing this sport for as long as I can remember. I was raised into a family of athletes. My brothers played basketball and soccer while my sisters played kickball. I refused to play neither basketball nor soccer. I was always a laid back kid who only interest was to go out and have fun with my friends. I never thought of me not picking a sport would affect my relationship with my family. As the years went by I noticed my brothers and sisters were avoiding me. They would go out and forget about me. I remember when I was only 6 and it was my oldest sister graduation from high school day. Nobody would even look at me to say, " Chris, what do you want to weir" or " Chris, do you want to come to your sister graduation?" I was left home alone that day. To think my family would disown me in such a way. I new I had to do something to change all of this so I picked up a sport and the sport I choose was basketball. At first it was the most confusing sport I ever played. The thing that made it worst was the calls and the referee blowing that ignoring whistle in your ear each time you do something wrong. As I continue to play the sport I felt like giving up. I was not progress. I went to my brothers thinking they will help me but they refused. They turned me down. I was ranged with anger all I wanted to do was be better then them. As I kept on playing I got better and now I am playing for the collage of Staten Island high school.
